Dr. Stephen W. Christian shares the message, “Jesus Throughout The Bible” on Sunday, January 4, 2009.
As we search through the Bible, we discover that the Scripture and the Law do not give us eternal life, but they point back to Jesus who gives Eternal Life. Our every aspect of life, hope, and right standing with God hinges on our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. We cannot enter into the fullness of life without coming to Jesus as the scriptures point to Him.
A likeness, a shadow, a type, and image of Jesus Christ can be found in every book of the Bible. The Scriptures point to Him!
John 5:39-40 (New Living Translation)
“39 You search the Scriptures because you believe they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me!
40 Yet you refuse to come to me so that I can give you this eternal life. “
Luke 24:44-46 (New Living Translation)
44 Then he said, “When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me by Moses and the 45 prophets and in the Psalms must all come true.”
45 Then he opened their minds to understand these many Scriptures.
46 And he said, “Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah must suffer and die and rise again from the dead on the third day.
